new cafe fuego blog

We have inspired Bob to start a blog for the Cafe Fuego Saturday morning prayer group. Bob has listed a bunch of videos that you can watch to see what God is doing in other churches. And people who come to Cafe Fuego will be sharing their experiences of how God speaks to them, touches them, moves them, and loves them.

Check it out at www.cafefuego.blogspot.com (there's also a link on the sidebar)

  • Bob... what's with "Fuego" this and "Fuego" that?
Much of that was because of David Hogan... who is David Hogan?
He was the guy who spoke when I went up to visit a Bethel church in Redding California... which is run by a Bill Johnson... who wrote a book called, "The Supernatural Power of a Transformed Mind"... which was recommended to me by a good friend Dave Hino... who taught a class on the supernatural gifts this summer... which Nancy forced me to go to since I was not doing anything during the summer anyways... since has transformed my thinking to believe that God is really in the impossible...
I will provide you the opportunity to listen to David Hogan, Bill Johnson... and possibly have Dave Hino come and share some Saturday at Cafe Fuego...
Oh yeah... David Hogan (who has personally been a part of raising 20 people from the dead...)kept saying, "Holy Ghost..." and "Fuego (Fire)" all through the time he spoke at Bethel Church... so for three days, I was "Fuego'd" and began to say that word as a tribute to someone I admired and wanted to be like... Bill Johnson said that David was the standard they wanted to be like... and his book inspired me to drive 900 miles to see... I have never driven that far for anything or anyone... but I was driven to drive there... with Nancy by my side we drove... the most interesting thing was the dream I had three weeks prior to going... I dreamt an angel was going to show me how to get new wine... a new anointing... and she said... it's as easy as breathing in and breathing out... guess what David Hogan said about miracles and receiving the anointing of the Holy Spirit? "It's as easy as breathing in and breathing out..." Nancy and I looked at each other and we both knew that this was a special time for the both of us...
While there I was amongst "Bob's" that were ten times more passionate... ten times more enthusiastic than me... I was in my element and while up in the front of the sanctuary with 150 other "Bob's" screaming, jumping, laughing, crying, and just ignoring everyone else around... experiencing God's presence and drinking in His Spirit... getting drunk by His Spirit... which I have not gotten yet... it was wonderful to be a part of a culture that does sees miracles as just part of daily living... seeing people get healed by a four year old at Target is just part of the culture at Bethel... so I came back pumped and ready to change the world at Cerritos... finding that the culture at Cerritos much different than Bethel's...
I had another dream a few weeks ago... I dreamt I was looking into very murky water and there were fishes in the water which were hiding amongst the weeds... very timid and scared to leave the protection of the weeds because they were afraid to be eating... they were small and their eyes were big and very timid... as I approached they scattered and hid.
The Lord told me that because the water was so murky and cloudy it was not a safe place to roam and be free in... He shared with me that not everyone at Cerritos is like me... in fact, no one in Cerritos is like me... He told me that the water must be clear in order for the fish to see if it is safe to venture out from behind the weeds. When it is safe, the will come out and play... at I changed Saturday prayer from Casa de Fuego(House of Fire) to Cafe de Fuego because I saw God moving in a more gentle way than I expected... I remember Connie bringing coffee to drink that Saturday and the aroma filled the air... it smell good... it reminded me of the Holy Spirit... a sweet aroma... our worship reminded me of a sweet aroma... God was also enjoying our worship... the water was clear and the "fish" were free to roam in the sanctuary of His house... Maybe we are not like Bethel... maybe we are not like David Hogan... or even Bob... but we do like to swim in a clear pond... and we do like to feel safe to play and swim freely where there are no predators to eat us up... because in God's Pond there are no predators... only His Presence, clear clean fresh water filled with grace, mercy, forgiveness, peace, and rest... so now you know the rest of the story...kind of... I will provide you with resources to guide you through your journey to be like Jesus... if you want to... you can come on Saturdays to experience a pond that is not murky and you will see fishes like you who are beginning to swim without fear of being eaten... it's taken the Bob fish, and the Barry fish, and the Mike fish 18 years to feel free enough to share our pond with you... so take a dip and hopefully it won't take you quite as long to start swimming around and being free.
    smell the coffee!
